The majority of my motion graphics work has been largely related to music lyric video productions. After learning a range of skills through my time at university relating to animated text and imagery, I grew fond of creating lyric videos as a hobby and a way to practice typography animation.
This video is based on the song 'Thicc Thiccly' by Bilmuri and was submitted for my foundation degree. I animated each individual piece of text and also added self-created graphics images for a more creative image. As well as this I used a range of techniques in after effects to manipulate the background into a looping psychedelic-type scene.
For one of my modules in my FD I was tasked to create a motion graphics intro to a fabricated TV show. I chose to base it off of the infamous Jack the Ripper case in 1888. Titled The Ripper, this intro showcased a thriller/mystery theme. I decided to learn something new with this project and teach myself some basic blender modelling and camera rigging for the 3d set used in some of the shots.
The names used in the video are fabricated and are not based on any real person. This was just a demonstration project for the ability to create a motion graphics intro.
